The Sefac group currently holds five logging concessions and operates as one of the leading timber suppliers in the Congo Basin. We are well conscious of the excellent potential of its forests and are committed to ensuring socially beneficial, economically viable and environment-friendly forestry management through responsible tropical timber sourcing and sustainable operations.
Our sustainable forestry
The rainforests of the Congo Basin, the area of which was estimated at 198 million hectares in 1995, are the second-largest after those of the Amazon Basin. Groupe Sefac is committed to sustainable forestry practices that protect biodiversity, support local communities and ensure responsible long-term forest management across its concessions.
